Klein Dytham architecture (KDa) is a multi-disciplinary design practice active in the design of architecture, interiors, and public spaces and installations. Established by Royal College of Art graduates Mark Dytham and Astrid Klein in Tokyo at the dawn of the 90s, KDa is today a multi-lingual office with an increasingly visible international profile and client list.
KDa’s base in Tokyo provides constant inspiration and creative energy. The Japanese thirst for the new, sensitivity to material and detail in crafting, and an ever-changing urban environment nourish KDa’s ideas and production.
KDa spans East and West, offering the freshness of vision that only an outside perspective can bring.
クライン ダイサム アーキテクツ（KDa）は1991年、ロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アートを修了し、東京の伊東豊雄建築設計事務所での経験を積んだアストリッド クラインとマーク ダイサムによって設立されました。
建築設計をはじめインテリアからプロダクト、アートイベントからスペースの運営まで何ごとにも境界線を引くことなく活動するオフィスです。 1998年から2005年には、麻布十番に様々なクリエイターとともに『Deluxe』を開設、東京のクリエイティヴ・スペースとして様々なアートイベント、ワークショップなどを展開してきました。２００２年にはその発展形である『Super Deluxe』を西麻布にオープン、多くのクリエイターとともに現在も数々の話題を提供し続け、各方面から高い評価を得ています。
2003年にスタートした20スライド×20秒のフォーマットによるトーク・イベント『ぺちゃくちゃないと』は多くのクリエイターやアーティストのプレゼンテーションの場として愛され、世界各都市に広がり2009年には180以上の都市で開催されるまでに浸透しました。
KDaは新しいことを求め続ける都市『東京』を拠点に、既成概念にとらわれることなく新鮮な視線で世界中の人々のライフを豊かにする活動を続けて行きたいと考えています。
